Hey people, I joined CCR SCCA and was pointed here by tedebayer. Just wanted to introduce myself, name is Paul and I will be looking to do some autocross events and HPDE.

I am going to my first autocross this saturday at Zmax. I have a 2004 VW GTi VR6 with a aftermarket supercharger and coilovers. Which class would I have to run in?

Also is anyone going to the March 1st-2nd Trackdaze VIR event? I am looking to attend and it would be great to have some local people around.

Hi Paul., with non-stock boost you're looking at a SM class. Some of our techy folks will chime in directly I'm sure.

Where are you located and have you autocrossed previously at all?

By the online reg. There will be about five or six of us from highlands at zmaxx on saturday.

I have no experience is autocross or anything else. I bought the car the way it sits now. Also I am off of Leicester Hwy.

Cool beans, I'm actually an old VW guy myself. You will have an absolute blast autocrossing I can guarntee you and we have a great club here with many many of us that will help you any way we can. Glad we got you registered for the forums even though you fell through the spam cracks for a few days!

Thank you for the welcome and letting me join the forum. I am usually with a VW group that we have in Asheville but I am trying to convince them to start actually driving their cars instead of just going to shows.

I am sure I will have fun and I am really looking forward to it.

Glad you finally got on here. Have fun a z max Sat. and just go out and have fun. Your first few autoxs should be nothing ore than a learning experience and the main goal is to have fun. Keep us posted on your progress and we'll see you soon.

Where exactly off Leicester Hwy are you? I live up in Leicester myself!

You will have a blast autocrossing, I guarantee it! I started this past year and had an absolute blast!
